2019 Resolutions

It’s been a while! It’s 2019! I hope you all had a great start to the New Year! I was ill and had to stay in bed the first week so not the best start but I’m finally back to normal and that means bringing you quality content I love! This year is gonna be the best year and I am sure gonna try to make it the best year. I have so much planned for this year for my blog and what better way to start the year off than with my 2019 Resolutions!

Finish My Book

book cover

I have been writing this for nearly a year now and I want to finish it for you guys. It has been put to the side as I get swamped with other things but this year, my PDF book called “The Little Guide to Blogging” will be up for you to download this year! I can’t wait for you all to read it. It’s all about the tips and tricks I have picked up over the last 4 years and how to optimise what you do for your blog. It covers so many topics from the Dos and Dont’s to How to Work with Brands! I am honestly so excited for you to read it!

Finish my Film Production Degree

University hasn’t been a breeze for me and I do struggle but I am determined to get my degree no matter what I get. As my lecturer told me, a degree isn’t always what employers are looking for. Skills are. I know I am good at what I do so I want to show that even if I don’t get a first or 2:1. People said I never would get into Uni and I just passed my Dissertation module so I’m happier than ever.

Get a YouTube Setup

YouTube has been taking a back seat for a while now but I love making videos so I want to get a full setup and take more time with YouTube. Blogging has been at the forefront for the last two years now but I want to do both and am determined to make YouTube a bigger priority. It means getting proper lights, a background and a new lens for my camera.

Get onto my Master’s Course

I love writing as you probably can tell and I want to do a Masters in Screenwriting so I am hoping once I get my degree, I can do the course. I just want to write and make content for the rest of my life. Whether that is blogging, youtube or filmmaking, I am happy with all three.

Have a Skincare Routine

I love doing skin care and although I don’t have a routine as such as I change products a lot, I want to change that. I want to take care of my skin so getting a skincare routine and sticking with it will help my skin stay clear. I love to try new products but need something to stick by!

Be Healthier

Everyone says this every year and I will try my best to be a little bit healthier each year no matter what. I love who I am and my body but I also know I put myself at a higher risk for some diseases with my weight. As I said, I love my body but I want to prefer a salad over a burger this year.

Reach All my Blogging Goals

My blog is my passion. It’s my little corner of the internet to let all my feelings and thoughts out. I love writing, it’s helped me so much and is still helping me. I want to reach bigger goals this year and I want to be able to reach a bigger audience for my voice. I have been putting 50% effort in a lot of the time when it needs to be 100%. I am committed to my blog and although I do have other things like Uni and life but this is what I want to do for my life.

Master a Flatlay/ Find a Theme

My flatlays have gotten better over the last two years and I want to perfect them and find a theme that works for me. I edit in a certain way but I want to find that theme that speaks to me and makes me put more effort into the content I produce. I love photography and I want to show this through the photos I show you guys.

So there are my New Years Resolutions, what are yours?

I haven’t figured out when I will be posting each week. I am waiting to schedule it with my lectures so I will make it the pinned tweet whenever that it sorted! I hope you had a  fantastic start to the year and let’s make 2019 the best year yet!

See You Soon,

  1. Great post, I really hope you achieve your goals, especially to get your film production degree and get to focus more on screenwriting. I hate it when people think that filmmaking is easy, it’s not! I love your flatlays now btw, they are nice and I should start sticking more to a skincare routine as well!!
