If you have been reading my blog since the Blogger days you will already know I haven’t been blogging for a year and it is 3 years this year since I started Something Different. I made the choice a year ago to change over to WordPress and I have loved it ever since. I love my little blog and I can’t imagine my life without it.
My blog is a place for you to come, relax and take some time to read my posts whether you’re interested in Beauty, Lifestyle, Mental Health or Recipes (they’re in the works!). I love helping people and I love writing so I thought I would start my blog.
I started in 2015 having lost my mum two years before, I needed an outlet and to distract me from my mental health (not the best idea) but it did help me. I love writing about things I love and I knew the posts I poured my heart into would be the best which is what I do with most of my posts.
When I switched over to WordPress this time last year, I never thought I would be here a year on with a small following and over 400 of you following my blog on WordPress! It is so nice to see people loving what I write. I have a lot of topics on my blog and yes, my niche is Lifestyle and Mental Health but I started my blog because I like to write about anything that I find interesting.
A year on from swapping over to WordPress and I have done a lot with my blog. I’ve worked with some amazing brands, gone to a beautiful event with PrezzyBox, did Blogmas (which was so much work and will be happening again this year!) and even got my own domain!
I am so happy with my blog and my audience. I value each and every one of your opinions. I love giving you something to read and if it takes your mind off something or helps you relax then my job here is done. I can’t believe I am sitting here and talking about how my blog is a year old on WordPress.
This time last year I was living at Jack’s house with a new kitten and looking for a job. I am still looking for a job now but Jack and I now have our own flat, I feel better within myself and I feel more confident with my own body which I couldn’t have done without Jack. I have taken more care with my bujo and given myself something to look forward to.
I may not be where I want to be right now in terms of a career but I hope in a year’s time, I will be where I need to be.
Thank you for reading my little blog and taking the time out of your day to read the posts I publish. I couldn’t have done this without your support! So thank you!
I hope you have a lovely rest of the week!
P.S. I know this week’s posts have been a bit shaky and I haven’t posted a lot. I am getting back into the swing of things and hopefully, more posts will be coming up in the next couple of weeks!
Till Next Time,
