As I’ve been away for over a month, I didn’t do a June Favourites due to being homeless but I decided to share some things that I have been currently obsessing over. Having now moved into our flat and finally getting internet, I can honestly say I feel less stressed. I even went out on a night out for the first time in months. So here are the things I have currently been loving. P.s. I haven’t got the right lens on my camera anymore (and it is at Jack’s nan’s house) therefore my flatlays may not look the best until September!
I have linked everything to where you can buy it! None are affiliate links!
I normally use my Rimmel London pressed powder to set my face and have never delved into using loose setting powder to “bake”. It literally scares me but I thought I would take the plunge and see what it is all about. It took me a few tries to get it right but for a beginner in setting powder, this one does pretty well. I love that it sets my makeup really nicely and that it keeps it like that for a whole night.
I have wanted a new palette for ages now and I loved the look of Soph’s new palette and I finally caved and got it. It is so beautiful. I normally go for a neutral palette with a lot of browns and golds in it but this has reds, yellows and oranges which I am so excited to play with. The shadows are so pigmented and they blend so well even though I don’t have a primer underneath. The shimmers are so soft and so pretty. It is now one of my favourite palettes and I can’t wait to play with all of the colours and take myself out of my comfort zone.
Primark Mini Nude Lipstick Set
I love a good nude lipstick and I already have tried and loved Primark’s matte lipsticks. When I saw a 4 pack mini nude set, I had to have it. For only £4, the set of lipsticks is so good! The colours are really pretty and the formula is so nice and not too drying. I recommend these if you want some cheap travel-friendly matte lipsticks that look beautiful on any skin tone.
If you know me, I rarely drink wine but when I saw the opportunity to these Wine Gummies, I was sold. I do like some wines and when these arrived I was ecstatic. The flavour is Riesling which is typically a very sweet wine. Vinoos was started by a Dutch woman who is still very involved with the business.
Asking about their ethos they said, “For us, we take huge pride in the brands we work with, they must all have a story behind it and if they have environmental ethics that is also a big priority for us”. I love this because I’m all about saving the planet as well. With this in mind, the brand is also Vegan and Gluten-Free. I was taken back by the flavour because it actually tastes like the wine but there is no alcohol in the sweets themselves. If you’re not a big drinker or someone you know isn’t, these are a great present. Jack rarely drinks white wine and he loved them!
I will be definitely getting these as a present for people in the near future!
Cooling Eye Mask
I was hesitant to try this cooling eye mask because when I get a headache, rarely anything can get rid of it. Feel Good Contacts sent this over to me and I used it for a headache and it was really nice and cooling. A warning not to apply it directly cause I gave myself brain freeze. I wrapped a thin tea towel around it and it worked really well. I also used this for my shoulder as I’ve somehow hurt it and it made it feel so much better. If you suffer from migraines or constant headaches, this is a great thing to have in your freezer. You can also heat it up in the microwave and use it as a heating pad. Aka I will be using it on my period next month!
I was sent over one of Statement Made’s necklaces and I have fallen in love with. You can get them personalised and although they got mine mixed up, I really love the little birdcage. I also love that I now have a chain to put my mum’s ring on. The necklace hasn’t made my neck green so I guess that’s a win in my books. You can get all sorts of jewellery on their website and I love that you personalise to whatever you want. For the price of £10-15, I think this is a bargain and would be cute for a birthday or Christmas present!
PS Primer Water
I love my primers and I decided to try the Primark’s own Primer Water. It is so refreshing and preps my skin before I put my foundation on. I also use this with my other primers and moisturisers but this also helped me during the heatwave to cool my face down. I really love that it isn’t sticky and that it is silicone free. It helps to keep my skin clean and less oily!
So there are the things I am currently loving! Let me know if you have tried any of the things above! I would love to know your thoughts!
Till Next Time,
