Secret Scent Box – A New Kind of Subscription

I’m back! I’m sorry there weren’t any posts last week, there was meant to be but then I was bogged down with life and Uni and it just got all too much and I couldn’t spend the time I wanted to on my blog but it’s a new week and there is a new blog post every day this week to make up for none last week! Kicking it off is all about Secret Scent Box, a subscription box all about fragrance!

Disclaimer: Secret Scent Box gave me their April Box in return for a review! There is an affiliate code at the end of this review.

When I was looking at the website for Secret Scent Box, I found it was very different to others I’ve seen. For example, BirchBox and Glossy Box are the same prices at the SSB but they have very different things included in their boxes. Comparing this to the Scent & Co box, you get one scent a month in that box for £15 and with Secret Scent Box, you get three and within the three, you get a designer scent. For the price and what you get, I think this is a great box already!

The box it comes in is really minimalistic and really cute. It is all black with the name of the company pressed into the box. I like how simple this is as packaging can sometimes get too much and I feel if its a subscription box, the packaging is key but no one is likely to keep the box after a few days or a week. When opening the box, I was greeted by a slip that said it was the April Edition for her. I like that they have different boxes for men and women but I wish there was an option where you could a unisex one as I like men’s scents as well.

Inside the box as well are cards which tell you about the fragrances in the box. I really like that they give you what notes are in each fragrance as this is helpful when wanting to know the smell of certain parts of the fragrance.  I also like they show you the bottle of the fragrance so if you were looking around for the full fragrance, you can recognise the bottle.

In this month’s box, the fragrances are; Joop – Femme, Calvin Klein – Beauty and the designer fragrance is Armani – Si Passione. I really like that the bottles have the names on them and the packaging is different colours. This may be random but it may signify something in the smell that the colour signifies.

With each fragrance, you get enough to last you 30 days which according to the website is about 4 sprays each day! I think that for the price of this box which includes 3 fragrances, it is really good. It is £15 per month unless you choose a 6 or 12-month plan which then it works out a pound or two cheaper.

I really like all of the scents in this box and I feel I will be ordering more of these boxes to find some more fragrances I like!

If you want to get your hands on one of these and some money off, use my code; KATYMACKENZIE15 to get 15% off your first box! P.s. this is an affiliate code.

Overall I really like the Secret Scent Box and I think it is very good if you want to try new fragrances but don’t wanna spend over £20 for something you may not like after a few weeks.

Till Next Time

this is a pretty cool idea! But I’m one of those people who have a select few perfumes that I stick to and rotate. I do try new ones sometimes but usually drift back to my fav ones in the end. 🙂 Anna xx (one half of the Cinnamon Buns and Roses blog)
