I love new brushes and I love finding new ones so finding SoEco Brushes was so amazing. SoEco Brushes are a cruelty-free and eco-friendly company that make makeup brushes. I was kindly sent over their face brush set and although this was sent to me, all views are my own and this post is not sponsored.
I have been looking for cruelty-free makeup brushes for quite a while but the problem is with synthetic brushes is that sometimes, they can be quite plastic and they don’t react well with my skin. When I found SoEco Brushes, I was so intrigued as they do look like real brushes but they’re both eco-friendly and cruelty-free.
I was kindly sent over their face brush set and already in the package, I was so excited. I have wanted to try new and cruelty-free brushes for a while. I was a little sceptical as to how they would feel as they look synthetic in and out of the packet.
In the pack of 4 brushes, you get (going from left to right), an angled contour brush, a small round foundation brush, a lip brush and a tapered blending brush. The feel of these brushes is something I didn’t expect. They’re really soft, I even stroked them across my face because they’re so nice to feel! For £12.95 for the whole set which is eco-friendly and cruelty-free, I was already sold!
Tapered Blending Brush
I already have the M180 big powder brush from Morphe and this is a little smaller than that and is for blending which I really like. I use my Morphe brush only to put powder on my face and I think that this blending brush is softer than my Morphe one. I love the way this brush blends my makeup into my face. It helps when I’ve put on too much bronzer or brush and blends it nicely into my face. It is a really nice blending brush and is now a staple in my makeup draws.
Angled Contour Brush
The top of this brush is heavenly, unlike the blending brush, it has an angled top and it is so soft like unbelievably soft. The way is it angled helps me to carve out my face when contouring and it is so soft on my face. Compared to my normal contour brush which is the Studio London contour brush, it wins the race. I love that it is angled as it really helps me to add a great contour to my face. I love the rose gold metal on these brushes as well, it makes it cute and modern.
Round Foundation Brush
I used to use brushes for my foundation until I bought a beauty blender so I’m not that fond of them much anymore but as this was small, I would try this on my nose, T-zone and under my eyes as it is quite hard to blend around those areas with a big sponge. I have to say, I don’t really like this brush. It’s really soft but it doesn’t blend that well and I don’t know whether that’s because it’s so small or if there was a lot of the product taken up into the brush. It is a good beginner brush but if you were applying a full coverage foundation, I wouldn’t personally use this. If this doesn’t work for me, then it doesn’t mean it won’t work for you!
Last but not least is the lip brush. I have never had one of these in my life. I have never used one but I see the point in them. I do like this brush, it’s so small and precise. the brush is soft and glides lipstick on my lips like a dream. I don’t often use lip brushes but I will definitely use this!
Overall, I really think for £12.95 (at the time of published) that these brushes are really good. The brushes are really soft and apply makeup really well (except for the foundation brush but that is just my personal opinion) and I think if you are looking for a cruelty-free, eco-friendly brand that sells makeup brushes, SoEco Brushes are the ones to get them from!
I hope you enjoyed today’s post! Have you tried any of SoEco Brushes?
