Superdrug’s Some Body Range |Review

Hello!

Today’s post is all about Superdrug’s Some Body range. Like most reviews I do, these products were sent to me for free for a review in return. This post is not sponsored. For each product, I have given it a rating out of 5.

Some Body is a well-being range from Superdrug which sells products ranging from Protein Shakes to Tea Detox packs. I was lucky enough to be sent 3 of their products from the range which the review for those is below. I want to start by giving you a quote from Dr Becky Spelman about well-being and losing weight and some research that Superdrug has done.

New research from Superdrug has revealed that for 6 out of 10 Brits, a simple compliment in January is the way to stay motivated with New Year goals, with 88% believing more compliments need to be given in January than any other month to encourage, inspire and motivate during the bleak cold winter.

Dr Becky Spelman, Registered Practitioner Psychologist & member of BABCP backs the findings, saying, “When it comes to getting fit, losing weight, or focusing on our health, positive acknowledgement is very useful. Hearing that we are looking good from people, and that the time and effort we have invested in our health are bearing fruit, actually spurs us on to do even more.”

Protein Pancake Mix

1

If you saw my Protein Water review, you will know I don’t like the taste of protein that has been increased in things so I was very sceptical when making these. I really like the layout of the packaging of these. It’s simple with no lies and it gives you all the nutritional value on the back and directions on how to cook them.

Grace (thatfeelinginside) and I both thought they would come out thick due to the added protein in them but I was surprised they were actually thin when I made them!

Funnily enough, they were actually quite good! I added honey and a bit of sugar to mine and they taste good! There is a strange taste which I can’t put my finger on them but it isn’t a bad taste! I really like these and although I don’t really need more protein, I would definitely recommend to those who want to build up muscle and want something more fun to eat instead of drinking shakes (but this range does have whey protein powder and shakes as well). The Protein Pancake mix is £3.99 and you get 4 sachets. This is a really good deal if you don’t want to eat pancakes each day and you can even split the mixture if you’re making small ones.

4.7/5

Cocoa + Orange Natural Bar

2

I love these kinds of bars because they taste so good! I love the ones that Nakd do but they are so expensive! Again the packaging is simple and it reminds me of having a clean slate because the colours are crisp. These bars are £1.49 each and I think that’s an alright price and at the moment, there is a buy 1, get 2nd half price offer on so you can save on these.

I really like this as it is a good source of protein and was a healthy snack in the morning while I was doing work. It also helped give a bit more energy to me and get me to focus as it filled me up! Also for under 150 calories for a bar like this is really good!

4/5

Sweet & Salty Popcorn

3

Now I am not gonna lie, I wasn’t really impressed with this product, mainly because it is just popcorn and it doesn’t really have that kick to it that I was hoping.

I really do like the taste of it and at 79p per bag, I really like how much you get in the bag for the price but at the same time, it tastes like regular popcorn. I do like that it is low-calorie and it is a good snack for mid-afternoon, I just didn’t find it interesting enough. They also have a Sea Salt flavour which I want to try so I hope that it has a kick to it. Overall I really do like this product and I would buy it again due to the price being low and it is a good snack.

3.9/5

Overall I think the Some Body range by Superdrug is good for how much it costs and I really like the products I got to try out! If you want to become a little healthier, I would definitely recommend using some of the products as snacks such as the bar and the popcorn and if you are working out, then the protein-based products will fit into your diet easily!

Thank you to Well Hello for sending me these products and I hope you guys enjoyed my review of the new range!

Till Next Time
