Day 30?! Where has the month gone? Tomorrow is the last day of 2017! Ahhhh, I am still going to writing 2017 until July I can tell! As the New Year is approaching, I wanted to make a post about my New Year’s Resolutions for 2018. Having had a mixed year (started off not the best but by now, it has been amazing), I want to try and stick to my resolutions. I also want to look back on the ones I made at the start of this year and see if I did any of them! P.s. It is gonna be a little bit of a long post!
So here is a picture I put on Instagram at the start of the year with my resolutions on it. It is in black and white, please do not judge!
So the first one is a video on my YouTube channel every 1-2 weeks. I kind of did this towards the start of the year and now it is not even a lot. Having no DSLR really annoys me because if I still had mine, I would make videos for every week.
The second one was to apply for a gym depending on my knee (it’s a long story but I injured it a few years ago playing Netball and now is messed up). I did join a gym in January! I also then stopped going around March due to being busy and then I couldn’t be bothered. The membership then ran out! I hope to join again in January!
The third one is to eat more healthy. Again, I did that at the beginning of the year and then my depression got worse so I stopped. When I met Jack, we did eat more healthy but also at the same time we liked to cuddle up, watch Twin Peaks and eat Oreo Dairy Milk so it has gotten better since then but not much.
Number 4. Wow. Try not to get hurt. I did in February so I didn’t do so well until I met Jack. 8 months later and we are still going strong. It is actually my longest relationship and I am so happy that I found him because he is the best thing in my life.
The fifth was was 2-3 nights out a week, £10 per night. This did not happen. Before I met Jack, I went out 2-3 nights a week and I probably spent more than £10. Now I go out probably once or twice a month. So at the start of the year, I didn’t really stick to it but now I have. I think I just prefer staying in and writing or watching something with Jack. I feel like I am growing old even though I’m 19.
Number 6 is spending money wisely. Considering I bought a notebook only because it was The Vampire Diaries themed, I am gonna say I didn’t stick to this one.
Number 7 was to get piercings. I didn’t but next year I am hoping to!
The 8th one was to get tattoos! I finally did! I got two! If you haven’t seen them, here is a photo of them!
Number 9 was to start saving for America. Nope didn’t do this one. Whoops. The thing is I don’t even know when I am going to America now like I have no clue so I don’t know why I put this one on the list?
10 was to plan a girls holiday. Nope, didn’t do this either. We were all so busy, we totally forgot about it. They are coming up tomorrow for NYE so time to party!
11 was to read more, a book a week. I have read some but I didn’t stick to this one either!
Number 12 was to write more. I don’t know whether I meant blog wise or story wise but blog-wise, I have! Blogmas literally has been a whirlwind of emotions since I started planning back in September!
The final resolution for this year was to find a new song every day. I did do well on this at the start of the year but around March, I just got tired of doing it for some reason.
So I did a few at the beginning and some now but I didn’t stick to them all! So here are my 10 New Year’s resolutions for 2018.
- Meditate at least once a week
- Go self-hosted on WordPress
- Understand my mental health more
- Be less lazy
- Make blogging and YouTube a job
- Learn a new skill
- Make more short films
- Learn how to play the guitar
- Treat myself once in a while (e.g. new clothes, new shoes)
- Read the news more often
Hopefully, I will stick to these! If you have any New Year’s Resolutions, let me know down in the comments! I hope this year has brought happiness to your life! I achieved a few things this year but most of all I met Jack and I got my life organised! Tomorrow’s post is the last day of Blogmas and I hope you love it as much as I have when collating it!
Till Next Time!
